NGC 6528
NGC 6528 is a globular cluster located in the constellation Sagittarius. It is approximately 19,000 light-years away from Earth and is part of the Milky Way galaxy. This cluster contains a large number of stars, with estimates suggesting it has around 100,000 members.
Discovered by William Herschel in 1784, NGC 6528 is notable for its relatively high metallicity compared to other globular clusters. This characteristic indicates that it has a higher abundance of elements heavier than hydrogen and helium, which can provide insights into the formation and evolution of the Milky Way.
