NGC 6516
NGC 6516 is an open star cluster located in the constellation Lacerta. It was discovered by the astronomer John Herschel in 1831. This cluster is approximately 3,500 light-years away from Earth and contains several young stars that are still in the process of forming.
The cluster is notable for its relatively high concentration of stars, which are primarily of spectral types B and A. NGC 6516 is also a part of the Milky Way galaxy and is estimated to be around 100 million years old, making it a relatively young cluster in astronomical terms.
