NGC 592
NGC 592 is a planetary nebula located in the constellation of Aquarius. It was discovered by astronomer John Herschel in 1834. This nebula is formed from the outer layers of a dying star that has shed its material, creating a glowing shell of gas and dust.
The nebula is approximately 2,000 light-years away from Earth and has a diameter of about 0.5 light-years. Its central star, which is the remnant of the original star, emits intense ultraviolet radiation, causing the surrounding gas to ionize and emit light, giving NGC 592 its distinctive appearance.
