NGC 4590
NGC 4590, also known as M68, is a globular cluster located in the constellation Hydra. It is approximately 33,000 light-years away from Earth and is one of the many clusters that orbit the Milky Way galaxy. NGC 4590 contains a large number of stars, primarily older, low-mass stars, and is estimated to be around 13 billion years old.
Discovered by William Herschel in 1784, NGC 4590 has a relatively low metallicity, indicating that it formed early in the universe's history. The cluster is notable for its compact appearance and is often studied to understand the formation and evolution of globular clusters in general.
