NGC 1884
NGC 1884 is a bright open cluster located in the constellation of Columba. It was discovered by the astronomer John Herschel in 1834. This cluster is approximately 4,000 light-years away from Earth and contains several hundred stars, many of which are relatively young and hot.
The cluster is notable for its relatively high concentration of stars, making it an interesting target for amateur astronomers. NGC 1884 is also part of a larger group of clusters in the Milky Way, contributing to our understanding of stellar formation and evolution in the galaxy.
