NGC 1875
NGC 1875 is a barred spiral galaxy located in the constellation of Eridanus. It is approximately 60 million light-years away from Earth and is part of the Lyon-Meudon Extragalactic Database. This galaxy is notable for its distinct spiral arms and bright central bar structure, which are characteristic features of barred spiral galaxies.
Discovered by the astronomer John Herschel in 1834, NGC 1875 is classified as a type SBc galaxy. It is part of a larger group of galaxies and contributes to our understanding of galaxy formation and evolution. Observations of NGC 1875 help astronomers study the dynamics and interactions of galaxies in the universe.
