NGC 1865
NGC 1865 is an open star cluster located in the constellation of Columba. It was discovered by the astronomer John Herschel in 1834 and is approximately 30,000 light-years away from Earth. The cluster contains several bright stars and is estimated to be around 100 million years old.
This star cluster is notable for its relatively loose structure and is part of a larger group of stars that share a common origin. Observations of NGC 1865 can provide insights into stellar evolution and the dynamics of star clusters in our galaxy, the Milky Way.
