NGC 142
NGC 142 is a spiral galaxy located in the constellation of Eridanus. It is approximately 70 million light-years away from Earth and is part of a group of galaxies known as the Eridanus Group.
Discovered by the astronomer John Herschel in 1834, NGC 142 has a diameter of about 100,000 light-years. It is notable for its bright core and well-defined spiral arms, which are characteristic features of spiral galaxies.
