NGC 1384
NGC 1384 is a barred spiral galaxy located approximately 60 million light-years away in the constellation Eridanus. It was discovered by the astronomer John Herschel in 1835. This galaxy is notable for its bright central bar structure and well-defined spiral arms, which are characteristic features of barred spiral galaxies.
The galaxy has an apparent magnitude of about 12.5, making it faintly visible through small telescopes. NGC 1384 is part of a group of galaxies known as the Eridanus Group, which includes several other galaxies that are gravitationally bound together.
