NEPRA
The National Electric Power Regulatory Authority, commonly known as NEPRA, is the regulatory body responsible for overseeing the electricity sector in Pakistan. Established in 1997, its primary role is to ensure the provision of reliable and affordable electricity to consumers while promoting competition and efficiency in the market.
NEPRA sets tariffs for electricity distribution companies, issues licenses, and monitors the performance of power producers. It also addresses consumer complaints and works to enhance the overall quality of service in the electricity sector, contributing to the sustainable development of Pakistan's energy resources.
