Myrrha
Myrrha is a character from ancient mythology, particularly known in Greek mythology. She is the daughter of King Cinyras of Cyprus and is famous for her tragic story involving forbidden love. Myrrha falls in love with her father, leading to a series of events that result in her transformation into a myrrh tree.
In her myth, Myrrha's desire is facilitated by her nurse, who deceives her father into sleeping with her. When the truth is revealed, Myrrha flees and prays for escape, ultimately being transformed into a tree. From this tree, Adonis, a significant figure in mythology, is born.
