Myanmar Government
The Myanmar Government is the administrative authority of Myanmar, a Southeast Asian country. It has undergone significant changes over the years, transitioning from military rule to a more democratic system in the early 2010s. However, the military, known as the Tatmadaw, still holds considerable power and influence over the government.
In February 2021, the Tatmadaw staged a coup, overthrowing the elected government led by Aung San Suu Kyi and the National League for Democracy. This led to widespread protests and civil unrest, as many citizens opposed military rule and demanded a return to democracy. The situation remains complex and fluid, with ongoing conflicts and international responses.
