Muwatalli II
Muwatalli II was a king of the Hittite Empire, ruling during the late 13th century BCE. He is best known for his military campaigns against the Egyptian pharaoh Ramesses II, particularly during the famous Battle of Kadesh. Muwatalli II's reign marked a period of significant conflict and territorial expansion for the Hittites.
Under Muwatalli II, the Hittite Empire reached its peak, with a strong emphasis on military strength and diplomacy. He is also credited with the development of Hittite law and administration, which helped maintain control over the vast territories. His reign ended around 1295 BCE, after which he was succeeded by his brother, Hattusili III.
