Mutsu Province
Mutsu Province was a historical province located in the northeastern part of Japan, primarily covering what is now Aomori Prefecture and parts of Iwate Prefecture. Established during the Nara period, it was known for its rich natural resources, including forests and fisheries, which supported local economies.
The province was divided into several districts, with Hachinohe and Kunohe being notable areas. Mutsu Province played a significant role in the development of regional culture and trade. It was officially dissolved during the Meiji Restoration in the 19th century, leading to the establishment of modern prefectures.
