Mount Oquirrh
Mount Oquirrh is a prominent mountain range located in Utah, USA. It is part of the larger Wasatch Range and is situated to the west of Salt Lake City. The highest peak, Oquirrh Mountain, reaches an elevation of 9,570 feet (2,915 meters). The range is known for its rugged terrain and diverse ecosystems, making it a popular destination for outdoor activities such as hiking and wildlife observation.
The mountain range is rich in mineral resources, particularly copper, which has been mined since the late 19th century. The nearby town of Bingham Canyon is famous for the Bingham Canyon Mine, one of the largest open-pit copper mines in the world. Mount Oquirrh also offers stunning views of the surrounding valleys and the Great Salt Lake.
