Mount Manaslu
Mount Manaslu is the eighth highest mountain in the world, standing at 8,163 meters (26,781 feet) above sea level. Located in the G Himalayas of Nepal, it is part of the Manaslu Conservation Area, which is known for its rich biodiversity and stunning landscapes. The mountain was first summited in 1956 by a Japanese expedition.
The name "Manaslu" means "Mountain of the Spirit" in the local Nepali language. It attracts climbers from around the globe, offering challenging routes and breathtaking views. The region is also home to diverse cultures, including the Tibetan and Gurung communities, who have lived in harmony with the mountain for centuries.
