Manaslu Conservation Area
The Manaslu Conservation Area is located in the Gorkha District of Nepal, surrounding the majestic Manaslu Mountain, which is the eighth highest peak in the world. Established in 1998, this area covers approximately 1,663 square kilometers and is home to diverse flora and fauna, including endangered species like the red panda and the snow leopard.
The conservation area is also rich in cultural heritage, featuring traditional villages inhabited by the Gurung and Tibetan communities. Visitors can explore ancient monasteries, such as the Sama Gompa, and experience the unique customs and lifestyles of the local people while trekking through stunning landscapes.
