Mount Longonot
Mount Longonot is a dormant stratovolcano located in the Great Rift Valley of Kenya. It rises to an elevation of about 2,776 meters (9,100 feet) and is known for its distinctive circular caldera, which is approximately 8 kilometers (5 miles) wide. The mountain is surrounded by a scenic landscape, including lush forests and diverse wildlife, making it a popular destination for hikers and nature enthusiasts.
The area around Mount Longonot is part of the Longonot National Park, established to protect its unique ecosystem.
