Mount Iglit-Baco National Park
Mount Iglit-Baco National Park is located in the Philippines, specifically in the provinces of Mindoro Occidental and Mindoro Oriental. Established in 1994, the park covers an area of approximately 75,000 hectares and is known for its diverse ecosystems, including lush forests, rivers, and mountainous terrain. It is home to various wildlife species, some of which are endemic to the region.
The park is named after Mount Iglit and Mount Baco, two prominent peaks within its boundaries. It serves as a vital habitat for the critically endangered Philippine tamaraw, a small buffalo species. The park also offers opportunities for eco-tourism, hiking, and nature exploration.
