Mount Greylock
Mount Greylock is the highest peak in Massachusetts, standing at 3,491 feet (1,064 meters). Located in the Berkshire Mountains, it is part of the Mount Greylock State Reservation, which covers over 12,500 acres of protected land. The mountain is known for its stunning views, especially from the summit, where visitors can see as far as 90 miles on clear days.
The area is popular for outdoor activities such as hiking, camping, and birdwatching. The Appalachian Trail runs through the reservation, providing access to various trails and scenic spots. In addition to its natural beauty, Mount Greylock features a historic War Memorial Tower at the summit, honoring veterans.
