Mothman
The Mothman is a legendary creature that is said to have been sighted in the Point Pleasant area of West Virginia during the 1960s. Described as a large, winged figure with glowing red eyes, it has become a part of local folklore. Sightings often occurred before tragic events, leading some to associate the creature with omens or disasters.
The first reported sighting of the Mothman was in November 1966, when two couples claimed to have encountered it near an abandoned munitions factory. The creature gained widespread attention after the collapse of the Silver Bridge in December 1967, which resulted in 46 fatalities. Since then, the Mothman has become a symbol of mystery and intrigue, inspiring books, movies, and festivals.
