Morgan Tsvangirai
Morgan Tsvangirai was a prominent Zimbabwean politician and leader of the Movement for Democratic Change (MDC), a party he co-founded in 1999. He became a key figure in the struggle against the long-standing rule of Robert Mugabe and the Zimbabwe African National Union-Patriotic Front (ZANU-PF). Tsvangirai served as the Prime Minister of Zimbabwe from 2009 to 2013 during a power-sharing agreement aimed at stabilizing the country.
Born on March 10, 1952, Tsvangirai was a trade union leader before entering politics. He faced numerous challenges, including arrests and violence, due to his opposition to the government. Tsvangirai's efforts for democratic reforms and human rights made him a significant figure in Zimbabwe's political landscape until his death on February 14, 2018.
