Mordvinic Languages
The Mordvinic languages are a group of Finno-Ugric languages spoken primarily in the Mordovia region of Russia. They consist of two main dialects: Erzya and Moksha, each with its own unique characteristics and speakers. These languages are part of the larger Uralic language family, which also includes Finnish and Hungarian.
Mordvinic languages have a rich oral tradition and are used in various cultural expressions, including music and folklore. Despite their historical significance, they face challenges in terms of preservation and usage, as younger generations increasingly adopt Russian as their primary language.
