Montana-Class
The "Montana-Class" refers to a class of battleships designed by the United States Navy during World War II. These ships were intended to be the most powerful battleships ever built, featuring advanced armament and armor. However, the completion of the class was halted due to the changing nature of naval warfare and the increasing importance of aircraft carriers.
The Montana-Class consisted of four planned ships: USS Montana, USS Ohio, USS Maine, and USS New Hampshire. Each ship was designed to carry a main battery of twelve 16-inch guns and was equipped with enhanced radar and fire control systems. Ultimately, none were completed, as the focus shifted to other naval priorities.
