Mongolian Wrestling
Mongolian Wrestling, known as Bökh, is a traditional sport in Mongolia that dates back centuries. It is a key part of the Naadam Festival, which celebrates the "Three Manly Skills" of wrestling, horse racing, and archery. Wrestlers compete in a circular arena, and the goal is to throw the opponent to the ground using various techniques.
The wrestlers wear a unique outfit called a zodog and shuudag, which consists of a short jacket and tight shorts. Matches can last for several minutes, and there are no weight classes, making it a test of strength, skill, and strategy. The sport emphasizes respect and sportsmanship among competitors.
