Mongolian Currency
The currency of Mongolia is called the Mongolian tögrög, often abbreviated as MNT. It was introduced in 1925, replacing the previous currency, the Mongolian dollar. The tögrög is subdivided into 100 mongos, although mongos are rarely used in everyday transactions.
The Central Bank of Mongolia is responsible for issuing and regulating the tögrög. The currency features various denominations, including coins and banknotes, with images that reflect Mongolia's rich history and culture, such as the famous Genghis Khan and traditional symbols.
