Moneyline Bets
A moneyline bet is a straightforward type of wager commonly used in sports betting. Instead of point spreads, moneyline bets focus on which team or player will win a game or match outright. Each participant is assigned odds, indicating how much you can win based on a $100 bet. Positive odds show the underdog, while negative odds represent the favorite.
For example, if a team has odds of +150, a $100 bet would yield a $150 profit if they win. Conversely, if a team has odds of -200, you would need to bet $200 to win $100. This simplicity makes moneyline bets popular among both novice and experienced bettors.
