Mole Rat
The mole rat is a small, burrowing rodent found primarily in Africa and parts of the Middle East. Known for their hairless bodies and large front teeth, these animals are well-adapted to a subterranean lifestyle. They live in complex tunnel systems and primarily feed on roots and tubers.
One of the most notable species is the naked mole rat, which is unique for its lack of fur and social structure. Unlike most rodents, mole rats can live in colonies, similar to ants or termites, with a queen that reproduces while other members perform tasks like foraging and caring for young.
