Molar Tooth
A molar tooth is a type of tooth located at the back of the mouth, primarily used for grinding and chewing food. Adults typically have twelve molars, with three on each side of the upper and lower jaws. These teeth have a broad, flat surface that helps break down food into smaller pieces, making it easier to digest.
Molar teeth usually emerge in stages, with the first molars appearing around age six and the third molars, often called wisdom teeth, emerging in late adolescence or early adulthood. Proper care of molars is essential for overall dental health, as they can be prone to cavities and decay.
