Mohs
Mohs is a medical procedure used to treat skin cancer. It involves removing cancerous skin layer by layer, examining each layer under a microscope for cancer cells. This technique helps ensure that all cancerous tissue is removed while preserving as much healthy skin as possible.
The procedure is typically performed in a doctor's office or clinic. After the removal of each layer, the patient waits briefly while the tissue is analyzed. If cancer cells are found, another layer is removed. This process continues until no cancerous cells are detected, making Mohs a precise and effective treatment option.
