Mohammad Beheshti
Mohammad Beheshti was an influential Iranian politician and cleric, born on September 24, 1928. He played a significant role in the Iranian Revolution of 1979, which led to the establishment of the Islamic Republic of Iran. Beheshti was a close associate of Ayatollah Khomeini and served as the head of the Judiciary in the new government.
Beheshti was also a founding member of the Islamic Republic Party, which aimed to promote Islamic values in governance. Tragically, he was assassinated on June 28, 1981, in a bombing that targeted the party's headquarters, marking a pivotal moment in Iran's political history.
