Moïse Tshombe
Moïse Tshombe was a Congolese politician and leader known for his role during the Congo Crisis in the 1960s. He served as the Prime Minister of the Republic of the Congo and was a prominent figure in the secessionist movement of Katanga, a mineral-rich province. Tshombe's leadership was marked by his efforts to gain autonomy for Katanga and his controversial alliances with foreign powers.
Tshombe's political career was characterized by his complex relationships with various factions, including the United Nations and Belgian interests. After the crisis, he went into exile and later returned to the Congo, where he faced political challenges until his death in 1969.
