Mnajdra
Mnajdra is a prehistoric temple complex located on the southern coast of Malta. It dates back to around 3600-2500 BC and is one of the oldest free-standing structures in the world. The site consists of three main temples, each built with large limestone blocks and featuring intricate carvings and altars.
The temples are aligned with the sun, particularly during the equinoxes, showcasing the advanced understanding of astronomy by the ancient builders.
