Minlaton Railway
The Minlaton Railway was a narrow-gauge railway located in South Australia, primarily serving the town of Minlaton on the Yorke Peninsula. It was part of a broader network that facilitated the transport of goods and passengers in the region. The railway operated from 1910 until its closure in 1970, playing a crucial role in the local economy by connecting agricultural areas to markets.
The railway line spanned approximately 20 kilometers and included several stations along its route. It was instrumental in transporting produce, particularly grain, from local farms to larger distribution points. Today, remnants of the Minlaton Railway can still be seen, serving as a reminder of the area's transportation history.
