Mihály Károlyi
Mihály Károlyi was a Hungarian politician and a key figure in the early 20th century. Born on March 4, 1875, he became the leader of the Hungarian Democratic Republic after World War I. Károlyi was known for his progressive ideas and efforts to establish a democratic government in Hungary.
His tenure was marked by political instability and economic challenges, leading to his resignation in 1919. Károlyi's government faced opposition from both the Communists and the Nationalists, ultimately resulting in the rise of Miklós Horthy and the establishment of a conservative regime. Károlyi died on March 20, 1955, in exile.
