Miguel Alcubierre
Miguel Alcubierre is a Mexican theoretical physicist best known for proposing the Alcubierre drive, a speculative idea for faster-than-light travel. In 1994, he introduced a concept that involves bending or "warping" space-time to allow a spacecraft to move faster than light without violating the laws of physics.
Alcubierre's work is rooted in Einstein's theory of relativity, which suggests that while nothing can travel faster than light in a vacuum, space itself can expand or contract. His proposal has sparked interest in both scientific and science fiction communities, although practical implementation remains purely theoretical.
