Middle Egyptian
Middle Egyptian is an ancient Egyptian language that was spoken and written during the Middle Kingdom period, roughly from 2000 to 1350 BCE. It is considered the classical form of the language and is characterized by its rich literary tradition, including religious texts, poetry, and administrative documents.
The writing system used for Middle Egyptian is known as hieroglyphics, which combines logographic and alphabetic elements. This language served as a foundation for later forms of Egyptian, such as Late Egyptian, and remains an important subject of study for understanding ancient Egyptian culture and history.
