Michael O'Rahilly
Michael O'Rahilly, often referred to as "The O'Rahilly," was an Irish nationalist and a key figure in the Easter Rising of 1916. Born in 1875 in County Kerry, he was a businessman and a member of the Irish Volunteers, a group dedicated to achieving Irish independence. O'Rahilly played a significant role in organizing the uprising against British rule.
During the Easter Rising, O'Rahilly served as a commander and was instrumental in the planning and execution of the rebellion. He was known for his leadership and commitment to the cause. Tragically, he was killed in action on April 30, 1916, becoming a martyr for the Irish nationalist movement.
