Mexican Congress
The Mexican Congress is the legislative branch of the United Mexican States, responsible for making laws and overseeing the government. It is a bicameral body, consisting of two chambers: the Chamber of Deputies and the Senate. The Chamber of Deputies has 500 members, while the Senate has 128 members. Both chambers work together to discuss and approve legislation.
Members of the Congress are elected by the public, with deputies serving three-year terms and senators serving six-year terms. The Congress meets in the Palacio Legislativo de San Lázaro for the Chamber of Deputies and in the Senate building for the Senate.
