Messier_98
Messier 98 is a spiral galaxy located in the constellation Virgo. It is approximately 45 million light-years away from Earth and is part of the Virgo Cluster, which contains many other galaxies. Messier 98 has a diameter of about 100,000 light-years and is classified as an unbarred spiral galaxy.
Discovered by Pierre Méchain in 1781, Messier 98 was later included in the Messier Catalog by Charles Messier. The galaxy features a bright core surrounded by spiral arms filled with stars and gas. Its relatively faint appearance makes it less well-known compared to other galaxies in the same cluster.
