Messier_38
Messier 38, also known as NGC 1912, is an open star cluster located in the constellation Auriga. It was discovered by the astronomer Giovanni Battista Hodierna in the 17th century and later cataloged by Charles Messier in 1764. The cluster contains around 100 stars and is approximately 4,200 light-years away from Earth.
This star cluster is notable for its bright and colorful stars, which are primarily young and hot. Messier 38 is best observed during the winter months in the Northern Hemisphere, making it a popular target for amateur astronomers using telescopes or binoculars.
