Messier 70
Messier 70 is a globular cluster located in the constellation Sagittarius. It was discovered by the French astronomer Charles Messier in 1780 and is approximately 29,000 light-years away from Earth. The cluster contains hundreds of thousands of stars, tightly packed together, and is known for its bright core.
The cluster has an apparent magnitude of about 9.5, making it faintly visible through small telescopes. Messier 70 is part of a larger group of globular clusters in the Milky Way and is often studied for its stellar population and dynamics.
