Messier 30
Messier 30, also known as NGC 7099, is a globular cluster located in the constellation Capricornus. It is approximately 30,000 light-years away from Earth and contains hundreds of thousands of stars. This cluster is about 12 billion years old, making it one of the older globular clusters in our galaxy, the Milky Way.
Discovered by Charles Messier in 1764, Messier 30 is notable for its dense core and relatively high concentration of stars. It has a diameter of about 93 light-years and is classified as a type II globular cluster, indicating a high concentration of stars towards its center.
