Messier 105
Messier 105 is an elliptical galaxy located in the constellation Leo. It is part of the Leo I Group and is approximately 32 million light-years away from Earth. This galaxy is classified as an E0 type, indicating it has a nearly spherical shape and lacks significant structure.
Discovered by Pierre Méchain in 1781, Messier 105 is notable for containing a supermassive black hole at its center. It is also home to several globular clusters, which are tightly bound groups of stars. Observations of Messier 105 contribute to our understanding of galaxy formation and evolution.
