Messier 10
Messier 10 is a globular cluster located in the constellation Ophiuchus. It is approximately 20,000 light-years away from Earth and contains hundreds of thousands of stars, tightly packed together due to their mutual gravitational attraction.
Discovered by Charles Messier in 1764, Messier 10 is one of the brighter globular clusters visible from Earth. It has an apparent magnitude of about 6.3, making it a popular target for amateur astronomers using telescopes. The cluster is estimated to be around 12 billion years old, showcasing some of the oldest stars in our galaxy, the Milky Way.
