Messianic Jews
Messianic Jews are individuals who identify as Jewish and believe that Jesus (Yeshua in Hebrew) is the promised Messiah of Judaism. They combine elements of Jewish tradition and culture with the teachings of the New Testament, celebrating Jewish holidays and practices while also embracing faith in Jesus.
This movement emerged in the 1960s and 1970s, gaining popularity in various parts of the world, particularly in the United States. Messianic Jews often participate in congregations that incorporate both Jewish rituals and Christian beliefs, seeking to maintain their Jewish identity while following the teachings of Jesus.
