Meng Wanzhou
Meng Wanzhou is a Chinese business executive and the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of Huawei Technologies, a major telecommunications company. Born on February 13, 1972, she is the daughter of Huawei's founder, Ren Zhengfei. Meng has played a significant role in the company's global operations and financial strategies.
In December 2018, Meng was arrested in Canada at the request of the United States, which accused her of fraud related to violations of U.S. sanctions against Iran. Her arrest led to a prolonged legal battle and diplomatic tensions between China, Canada, and the United States.
