Meiji period
The Meiji period (1868-1912) was a time of significant transformation in Japan, marked by the end of the feudal system and the restoration of imperial rule under Emperor Meiji. This era saw Japan rapidly modernize and industrialize, adopting Western technologies and practices to strengthen the nation.
During the Meiji period, Japan established a centralized government, reformed its military, and improved its education system.
