Mehmed I was an important ruler of the Ottoman Empire, reigning from 1413 to 1421. He came to power after a period of civil war known as the Interregnum, which followed the death of his father, Beyazid I. Mehmed I worked hard to restore stability to the empire and reunite its territories, which had been divided among his brothers.
During his reign, Mehmed I focused on rebuilding the empire's strength and improving its administration. He is often remembered for his efforts to promote peace and consolidate power, laying the groundwork for future expansion under his successors, particularly Mehmed II, who would later conquer Constantinople.
