McClellan Air Force Base
McClellan Air Force Base was a military installation located in Sacramento, California. Established in 1936, it served primarily as a logistics and maintenance center for the United States Air Force. The base played a significant role during various conflicts, including World War II and the Vietnam War, providing support and training for military operations.
In 1995, McClellan Air Force Base was officially closed as part of the Base Realignment and Closure (BRAC) process. Today, the site has been repurposed for civilian use, including commercial and industrial development, while preserving some historical aspects of its military heritage.
